Leidos Australia will return as a Principal Partner of Bravery Trek 2026, continuing its commitment to supporting Bravery Trust’s national fundraising campaign and helping more veterans and families access vital financial support when they need it most.
As a significant employer of veterans in Australia, Leidos brings a deep understanding of the transition from military to civilian life, and the opportunities and challenges that come with it.
Held throughout October, Bravery Trek brings Australians together to raise funds for veterans and families facing financial hardship.
Participants can choose to complete a 120km or 240km virtual challenge across the month, or take part in Dusk till Dawn, a 12-hour overnight team event at the Australian War Memorial on 16-17 October.
Leidos Australia CEO Paul Chase said the organisation was proud to continue supporting an initiative that recognises the contribution of Australia’s veterans while helping connect them and their families with practical support when they need it most.
“Leidos proudly employs a significant number of veterans and understands the unique strengths, experiences and values they bring to the workforce,” Paul Chase said.
“Through Bravery Trek, we’re helping ensure veterans and their families can access practical support when they experience financial hardship.”
Bravery Trek brings together veterans, Defence personnel, industry and the wider community in a way that reflects the teamwork, mateship and shared purpose of the Defence community.
Bravery Trek is Bravery Trust’s national fundraising campaign, giving individuals, teams and workplaces a practical way to support veterans and their families experiencing financial hardship.
Funds raised help deliver immediate financial assistance, as well as ongoing financial counselling and education – supporting veterans to stabilise their finances, manage debt and maintain secure housing.
Bravery Trust CEO Garth Callender said Leidos has been a longstanding supporter of the veteran community and continues to play an important role in the campaign’s success.
“Bravery Trek is about turning support into action,” Mr Callender said.
“Many veterans leave service with valuable skills, experience and a strong sense of purpose – but the transition to civilian life isn’t always straightforward, particularly when financial pressures emerge”
“Leidos understands the challenges that can come with transition. Their support helps us provide practical financial assistance so veterans and families can navigate periods of change with greater financial stability and confidence.”
In 2025, more than 500 fundraisers took part in Bravery Trek, raising over $264,000 from nearly 1,800 donors – a record result for the campaign. Building on this momentum, Bravery Trust aims to grow the campaign further in 2026 and reach more veterans needing support.
Since 2012, Bravery Trust has delivered more than $9 million in direct financial assistance to over 6,600 veterans and families, alongside specialist financial counselling and education.
Bravery Trek will run throughout October.
