Last week we wrapped up our Anzac fundraising campaign for military charity Bravery Trust. In just nine days, Coles, together with our customers, raised more than $191,000 from donations at the checkout, team member fundraising initiatives and of course, sales of Coles Bakery Anzac biscuits.
Coles donated 40 cents from the sale of every 12-pack of Coles Bakery Anzac Biscuits and all other 12-pack Coles Bakery biscuits and cookies sold in-store and on Coles Online, with funds raised helping to provide a financial safety net for Aussie veterans in times of need.
Lieutenant Colonel Garth Callender, Bravery Trust Interim CEO said, “The support of Coles and its incredible reach nationally is so important to the work we do. Our ongoing partnership with Coles in the lead up to Anzac Day highlights all our immense gratitude for those who serve our country. Just as importantly, it raises vital funds to support those veterans who fall on hard times.”
“Thank you to Coles’ customers and team members for your commitment to improving the lives of others. Thank you to those who helped to create some spectacular in-store displays. Finally, thank you to all who have helped raise funds needed to provide expert financial support for those who serve our country.”
Funds raised in this year’s campaign takes Coles’ total donations to Bravery Trust to over $6.2 million since 2014.
