Bad luck was piling up for Rodney Sherriff.
Rodney was struggling with bills after his partner died suddenly overseas, his dog died and he was diagnosed with cancer.
Rodney, who served in the Airforce for 23 years from 1984 to 2007, including deployments in Iraq, was living in Mackay Queensland and he needed to return to his home state of Tasmania to be closer to his parents in Hobart.
Bravery Trust heard about Rodney’s financial pressures and helped pack up and store his house contents in a container and then paid to transport him to Tasmania where he now lives with his parents. Later they assisted putting him in contact with a financial advisor.
“It’s a lot easier being closer to my parents so I can give them a hand,’’ Rodney says.
“I can’t speak highly enough of the compassionate way Bravery Trust helped me when I really needed their help. Thank you so much.’’
